Important Notice
All loads brought into the landfill MUST be covered with a tarp or net.
City of Brownwood Residential Disposal Fees at Landfill:
Residential discount - $44 per ton with an $11.00 minimum charge for all residential or commercial residents inside the city limits of Brownwood with a *current water bill and matching driver's license.
All unsecured loads will be charged double the rate. A load is considered secured if completely covered by a tarp or net as determined by landfill staff.
Outside the city limit fees:
$49.00 per ton with a $12.50 minimum charge for all residential and commercial waste.

Commercial Disposal:
A commercial account is defined as any business establishment, school, church, county, state, or federal agency.
For commercial disposal of mattresses or box springs, customers will be charged an additional $15 each in addition to per ton weight. Any commercial charge account shall be subject to the following:
1. All commercial customers who wish to have a charge account set up with the landfill must contact the city all utility billing departments for account set up. All other commercial customers' questions can be handled at the landfill.
2. Receipts will be printed at the landfill. The receipt shall indicate the tonnage disposed of and will be the basis for determining billing.
3. A deposit equal to one month's billing amount shall be paid prior to setting up an account at the utility department.
4. Please refer to the City of Brownwood residential or outside-the-city limit fees.

Special Waste requires special handling methods. Please contact the Landfill office directly at 325-646-6574 for any inquiries. Examples are not limited to but include, dirt, asbestos, animals, sludge, wind turbine blades, etc.
