The responsibility for the operation and supervision of the Brownwood Municipal Airport shall be vested in a seven-member board which shall be known as the "Airport Board of the City of Brownwood."
The seven members of the airport board, one of whom shall be a member of the city council, shall be appointed by the mayor, with the approval of the city council, to serve two-year overlapping terms. The city councilmember of the airport board shall be appointed each year, and all necessary appointments shall be made each January 1.
The airport board shall elect a chairperson from its membership and such other officers as it deems necessary. The airport board may make reasonable rules and regulations for its own government in conformity with this division, any amendments thereto, any other applicable city ordinances, the city Charter and the laws of the state.
