[ARCHIVED] City Council Approves Two Animal Ordinances

City Council approved two ordinances during the Brownwood City Council Regular Called Meeting on 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2019

  • Approved an ordinance on second and third/final reading regarding the keeping of chickens in the City Limits.

  • Approved an ordinance on second and third/final reading revising the City’s animal ordinance regarding rabies vaccinations; dangerous dogs; regulating the care and humane treatment of animals; requiring sanitary conditions for animals and maintenance of the premises upon which they are kept; regulating the confinement of dogs or cats in motor vehicles; prohibiting the defecation by dogs on private or public property without removing or disposing of the excreta.
