[ARCHIVED] City of Brownwood Announces Closure for Independence Day

July 4th Closure

Brownwood City Hall and other non-emergency facilities will close Friday, July 3 to celebrate Independence Day.

Brownwood City Hall and other non-emergency facilities will close Friday, July 3 to celebrate Independence Day. Brownwood Municipal Landfill and Recycling Center will be open Friday and closed Saturday, July 4. Normal operating hours for all City facilities will resume Monday, July 6.

Residential curbside trash routes for the week will be collected as follows:
Monday and Tuesday’s routes will not be affected.
Thursday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday, July 1.
 Friday’s routes will be collected on Thursday, July 2.
Closed on Friday, July 3.

Please have your carts out by 7 a.m. to ensure collection. Call 325-643-4200 with questions or concerns.

Emergency services are available for water line breaks and sewer backups 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 325-646-6000.

Questions concerning the Landfill can be addressed by calling 325-646-6574 and the Recycling center by calling 325-641-8832.
