City of Brownwood launches redesigned website to better serve residents
The City of Brownwood launched a newly redesigned website, www.brownwoodtexas.gov, that offers convenient resident access to self-service features, provides greater transparency, and serves as the central hub for city information. The website was redesigned in partnership with CivicPlus®, a provider of integrated technology solutions exclusively for local governments.
The website redesign allows visitors to easily navigate the homepage that features visible links to commonly requested services. Residents also have access to the latest news releases, social media feeds, and calendars for public meetings.
The new website features a modern design that is easier to navigate and improved accessibility. A new virtual chat assistant is prominent on the bottom of the homepage that can answer questions about city service. In addition, the website offers residents a variety of self-service features, such as the ability to pay utility bills online, apply for permits and licenses, sign up for emergency alerts, report street repair needs, submit code enforcement violations, and how to contact local officials.
“In addition to improving the visual design, improving functionality was a top priority,” said Marshal McIntosh, Deputy City Manager for the City of Brownwood, “Our new website will make it easier for residents to find the information and services they need, and help us to better serve our community.”
The new website is part of the City of Brownwood’s ongoing efforts to improve its online presence and communication efforts.
“We are committed to providing residents with the best possible experience when they interact with their local government, which includes both in-person and digital interactions,” said McIntosh. “Our new website is just one way that we are working to continuously improve how we serve our community.”
The new website is now live and can be accessed at www.brownwoodtexas.gov.
