  1. Closure for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

    January 20, 2020, All Day

    Brownwood City Hall, Landfill, Recycling Center and other non-emergency facilities will close Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day. Normal operating hours will resume Tuesday, January 21. Residential curbside trash routes for the week will be collected as follows: -Monday’s route will be collected on Tuesday, January 21. -Tuesday’s route will be collected on Wednesday, January 22. -Thursday’s and Friday’s routes will be collected on regular schedule. Please have your carts out by 7 a.m. to ensure collection. Call 325-643-4200 with questions or concerns. Emergency services are available for water line breaks and sewer backups 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 325-646-6000. Questions concerning the Landfill can be addressed by calling 325-646-6574 and the Recycling center by calling 325-641-8832.

  3. State of the City Address

    January 24, 2020, 11:30 AM @ Coggin Avenue Baptist Church - Connection Center

    Brownwood Mayor Stephen Haynes will give his annual State of the City address at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Friday, January 24th. The luncheon will take place at the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Connection Center from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Mayor Haynes will recap the city happenings for 2019 and will talk about upcoming projects for the new year. The luncheon is open to the general public. Reservations are required and payment can be made in advance at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce or at the door.
