Ashley Belez began working for the City of Brownwood in 2020 in the health department. She was hired part-time as a PHP Specialist, moved to the Disease Management Specialist in 2021, and is currently serving as the SNS/MRC Coordinator. She was nominated for this award based on how well he models the Core Values of service.
She is described as someone who has a willing attitude and assists anyone with any task. She provides excellent service to the community and embodies excellence and service daily.
She coordinates MRC activities in the community with cooling and first aid stations to help those in need.
A co-worker said, “She has worked tirelessly to build the Medical Reserve Corps. (MRC) and recently was accepted to the National Association of County and City Health Officials, MRC workgroup where she will contribute to national initiatives and best practices related to the MRC.”
