Can I keep a junked vehicle?
State Law and City Ordinances declare junked vehicles to be a public nuisance and subject to abatement in accordance with the Texas Litter Abatement Act. Junked vehicles are vehicles which are wrecked and or dismantled, do not have current registration or inspection and have been parked in plain sight on private property for more than 30 days or a public street for more than 3 days. Such vehicles may be seized as a result of legal, due process.
