Due to continued freezing temperatures and road conditions the City of Brownwood will be adapting its hours of operation. The following adjustments are announced for Wednesday, January 28th.
- Emergency services will continue to operate as normal including Fire, Police, and Dispatch.
- All non-emergency facilities, including City Hall, will be closed Wednesday, January 28th.
- The Senior Citizens Center will be closed and not serve congregant meals. Homebound residents in need have been contacted, and arrangements are being made.
- The Brownwood Regional Landfill will have limited access to large commercial clients by scheduled appointment, after 10 am. Brownwood Recycling Center will remain closed.
- Residential trash collections will resume on Thursday, January 29th.
Public works and street department will be actively working during facility closure to assist in preparing for the reopening of City facilities on Thursday, January 29th.
